Mata Ortiz Black & White Pot By Celia Ortega

Celia is the daughter of the well known Yoli Ledezma, and favors the use of animal & insect designs on her pottery. Celia uses the sgraffito technique, where layers of paint are built up and then the surface is etched to reveal the color of the clay below and form the fine details of the design. 

This pot is 5"tall and 3 1/2" in diameter.
